Hi, I’m Jade — certified nutrition coach, mindful eating practitioner, outdoor enthusiast, and devoted fan of carbohydrates. I created Connect. Eat. Thrive. to help people restore something most of us didn’t even realise we’d lost: the joy, nourishment and connection that food is meant to bring.

🍽 Why I Started

Some of my happiest memories are wrapped up in food: baking fairy cakes with my mum, family dinners filled with laughter around Big Nana’s table, seaside ice creams with my Dad and little Nana. Food, for me, was never just about nutrients — it was about love, comfort, togetherness.

But somewhere along the way, food got complicated.

A diagnosis of Hashimoto’s, the relentless grind of hustle culture, and a ‘wellness’ world full of rules, fads, and bone broth miracles slowly turned my relationship with food into a battlefield. I ate at my desk alone, skipped meals, chased “healing” diets, and felt more disconnected than ever — from my body, my needs, and even the joy of eating I shared with others.

I was burnt out. Fed up. And done with the performative side of wellness.

So I stripped it all back. I started listening to my body again. Letting go of the rules. Reclaiming pleasure. Reconnecting with real nourishment — the kind that feeds more than just your cells.

That journey became Connect. Eat. Thrive.
A space to help others do the same.

The Mission

To help people eat well, live well, and thrive — gently, joyfully, and together.
Because nourishing yourself shouldn't be complicated, overwhelming, or wrapped in rules. It should feel intuitive.

Guiding Principles

Joy. Food should feel good, not stressful.

Connection. Healing happens through relationships—with food, self, others, and nature.

Mindfulness. Awareness brings choice. We slow down, tune in, and honour the present moment.

Integrity. Compassionate honesty, and respect for each person’s story. We keep things real, and values led not trend led.

Joy. We invite pleasure back to the table, encouraging a relaxed, enjoyable relationship with food, self and each other. 

Connection. We support deeper connection with self, food, others, and the natural world—through reflection, presence, and shared experiences.

Mindfulness. We create space to pause, notice, and respond with care — in how we eat, how we live, and how we support change.

Integrity. We speak honestly, honour individual stories, and make values-led choices in how we work.
